the end?

I think the end is near for this blog.

I'm sort of over it.

I feel like I have nothing important to say
nothing really has any meaning.

and It's getting harder and harder for me to update.

looking back over the blog today, from the first day's article
all I could think of was "Ugh, shut up." or "WHO CARES!?"

A lot of me whining.
I hate whining.

So unless I decide to call it quits,
the posts I make from now on
will establish a clear thesis.

I'm not going to complain when I'm sick
that gets old quick
(and no one really cares)
I'm not going to moan about the work I have to do
or the work I've been putting off.
Yawn.
And I'm not going to talk about the heat, cold,
hurricanes, or the weather in general.

If thats all I have to say,
then I'm not going to waste your time.

some things...

under no circumstances
should anyone ever call me
"dawg."

I'm not your dawg.

I counted
15 times today
I was called "dawg."

now, I ask you...
what would have happened
if I called someone "dawg?"

right.
it wouldn't work, would it?

I just dropped Kelly and James
off at 30th St. Station

Had a lovely past few days with them

Liz is very ill
in Pennsylvania Hospital
Mom is beside herself

6 months to live
3 of which will not be good

I didn't come home this weekend
stayed to work on projects

yea...ask me how I did.

I watched the entire series
all 6 seasons
of Sex and the City

and then started the X Files

My therapist and I are working
on this procrastination thing

Its not working yet.

"Give it time' she says

well, ok...

this Saturday
I'm in NYC for the Yankees/Red Sox game
I actually enjoy the whole
take me out to the ballgame thing
its very zen and calming to me
and very sentimental

and in all my life
I've never felt closer to my father
than when I first step foot into Yankee Stadium
not even at his grave is his presence as strong

I know he has a season ticket.

And I also know he's bitching
about the $10 french fries.

overdue

yea yea, I know
I haven't updated in a while
well, actually I have
several times
each time, though
it never saved
and I lost everything I typed

and then rather than retyping it
I got frustrated and just left

so here I am

let me tell you about Meryl Streep
a few weeks ago, I met Santo in NYC
he took me to see Mother Courage
at Shakespeare in the Park
starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline
then backstage where I met them both

Meryl is lovely and Kevin's a chain smoker
both were extremely polite
Meryl and I talked for about 5 minutes

Oh! You know who came backstage with us?
Tracey Ullman, she was in the audience
Santo knows her
they did Bullets over Broadway together
the Woody Allen film

she's one of those what you see is what you get
kind of people
I love them
she said
"Oh, it's soooo looovely to come backstage
and say 'You were really terrific'
instead of having to say
'Oh...you were sooo brave.'"

Santo and I laughed all the way home

yesterday Dawn and I were in the city
we saw The History Boys
which is now definitely one of my
best nights at the theatre.
Alan Bennett is a tremendous playwright

I can't wait for the movie to come out.

Mom and Bill are in Vegas
I am home trying to get all of this work done

and I really have to delve into these set designs

I need to start a model for
You Can't Take it With You

I am 2 episodes away from finishing
Nip/Tuck season 3.

Season 4 starts Tuesday.
Woohoo!

now...before I hit save,
I'm going to copy this entry into Word...
